Monday Feb 4th at Basic Urban Kitchen+Bar, Leslie Seiters, Ron Estes, Jillian Chu and myself will be dancing a work from the upcoming "How much of what there is." (look for it in the fall). Leslie creating her installation - Feb 08 This is the first in a new monthly series at Basic featuring choreography & music on the 1st Monday of the month. Continuing through May 2008. Movement Research Fall Festival

Katie Duck, KJ Holmes and I are dancing together Friday Nov 30th, as part of the Movement Research Fall Festival at the Danspace Project in NYC. Alex Waterman will join us on Cello. Saturday Dec 1st we collaborate with other festival participants in an open session.

The Friday, November 30th performance will feature work by: Katie Duck, K.J. Holmes, Justin Morrison, and Alexander Waterman; Lower Left Performance Collective (Nina Martin, Rebecca Bryant, Kelly Dalrymple, Margaret Paek, and Andrew Wass); and Patricia Nicholson and William Parker.

The Saturday, December 1st performance will be an open improvisation featuring festival participants (to date): Rebecca Bryant, Kelly Dalrymple, Katie Duck, Christine Elmo, Melissa Guerrero, K.J. Holmes, Nina Martin, Justin Morrison, Patricia Nicholson, Margaret Paek, Stacy Spence, Andrew Wass, and Alexander Waterman.

Gabriel and I collaborated in making a piece where images were streamed from various locations (he in Washington, me outside the venue in California), working variously with music, movement, set and persona, culminating in a final meeting in the space. Video was mixed live by a generous stage hand (who did not expect such a job) and projected on the back wall. You can see the result archived on operator11 and embedded below. (operator11.com is now defunct.) Gabe's scene design, performance and music making were so astounding, I can't want to collaborate again.
