In this final experimental installation of "How much of what there is" (a work in progress to be performed in it's entirety fall 08), Leslie, Ron, Jillian and myself will be performing a re-working of source material in a series of interlocking loops, lasting about 1 hour. The culture of narcissism in dance has a new ally: movmnt magazine has a social network. Dancers who aspire to celebrity now have more ways than the studio mirror to admire their youthful mugs. If you're lucky and you've got chops, you've got 10 years, kids ‒ at best. Better make it last. My hope for 2008 is that artists & practitioners (we've got theory) will increasingly utilize this medium to demonstrate that dance or, as I'm beginning to prefer, performance, doesn't have to be so... dumb. via danciti : dance outlook

"Katie Duck is the Zorba the Greek of improvisation: earthy, feeling every mode of sensuality, preposterous, irresistible, polymorphously perverse. Watching her dance is like watching her body think. She is responsive to every situation and obviously enjoys getting into trouble. ...
